Meet the team
Our founder and Managing Director, Ben Westaway, is one of the most highly qualified advisers in the United Kingdom.
Ben is a Chartered Financial Planner, a Certified Financial Planner and a Chartered Accountant.
Following a first class degree from Oxford University, Ben spent four years working for PricewaterhouseCoopers in the City where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Ben entered Financial Services in 2003, latterly working in London with Fleming Family & Partners Wealth Planning before returning to Sheffield to establish Jessop in 2010.
Ben enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, exploring both the Derbyshire and Spanish countryside and suffers the elation and despair (mostly the latter) of following Sheffield Wednesday.
Sarah is our Operations Director. As Operations Director, Sarah is responsible for ensuring that the high standards that Jessop stands for are always maintained.
After studying Business & Finance, Sarah accepted a position with Norwich Union Life Insurance Society, now Aviva Plc. Gaining valuable experience in the financial services industry, she went on to study Financial Planning and furthered her career in managing teams within a regulated environment.
In later years she became responsible for complaints oversight and training. Taking lead on analysing the outcomes to complaints and understanding the root causes, she influenced positive change across the wider business.
Sarah is passionate about delivering a great customer experience. She understands pressures of everyday life and the importance of delivering a simple, but effective service in a complex setting.
Sarah enjoys exploring places of interest with her young family, relaxing with her husband and friends and taking breaks from everyday routines of life.
